Eustachian tubes: The tubes in the back of your nasal passages that lead to the middle ear may be blocked by congestion and mucus causing this symptom. Irrigate your nasal passages with warm salt water and instill a nasal decongestant spray like Afrin to relieve the congestion. See an Otolaryngologist if symptoms persist or worsen or if a sinus infection is suspected.
