A member asked:

Recently i have been having ear pain (right) no injury, not always. what are causes? i do sometimes get beating noises. what about ear pain? cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not cancer: Common things are common. The most common origin of ear pain is a stretch on the eardrum caused by pressure or canal pain caused by internal swelling. Pressure on the eardrum can be triggered by infection pushing it out, or fluid drawing it in. Have a doc look at it to decide. Treatment if needed depends on the cause.
