A member asked:

I was on 20 mg zyprexa and didnt have any problems with going poop. i switched to seroquel 400 mg and now i have the worst constipation. what do i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Constipation: Good fluid intake, good amount of fiber intake and regular exercise help. If you note no urge to have bowel movements take a gentle bowel stimulant like senokot according to instructions daily. Try to avoid harsh laxatives. If you have urge and can't move, insert rectal suppositories of glycerin or dulcolax as needed. See your physician as needed.
