Xanax: is a powerful benzodiazepine....which DOES NOT MIX with alcohol in addition the breakdown time of this class of drugs varies with the individual and also with time thus making the use of alcohol very risky in patients who take them.. My opinion only..hope it's helpful! Dr Z
