A 54-year-old male asked:
is it normal to leave staples post laparoscopic cholecystectomy surgery? do i have to live with them for them rest of my life?

Yes: It is routine to leave clips to close the ducts and arteries feeding the gallbladder. There have been no reported complications or health problems for these clips or staples. They do not cause you to light up in the airport or interfere with your ability to an MRI in the future. Hope this helps
