What is the primary cause of tenting of lower lobe in xray result? does it mean i am critically ill?

"Tenting": generally means partial collapse or scarring of a previous infection (pneumonia) It does not mean you are "critically" ill but it does require evaluation and appropriate treatment! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z
