My son only coughs at night. it starts around 12am. dry cough. not barking. no runny nose. during the day he coughs only after running around. quick burst then its done. i give him alecet twice a day 2.5ml, flonase twice & occasional nebulise. ?

Uncontrolled asthma: The pattern is consistent with asthma that is not fully controlled. An asthma maintenance plan that includes an inhaled steroid by nebulizer daily is routine in such cases. Confirm this with the kids doc and make any needed changes. The alecet has nothing to do with this.
