Clogged tear duct?: How long has this been going on? Is there any fever, and is this occurring in both eyes? If it's been occurring for a long time, with no eye redness or fever, and no other signs of infection, it's possible that you are describing tear duct obstruction, or nasolacrimal duct obstruction. You child should be evaluated by a pediatrician if this doesn't resolve.

Coincidental : Concurrent problems are coincidental, not from same origin. Please see pediatrician asap.
