A member asked:

Do epididyminal cysts forms in the testicle itself???.attached to top of testicle itself.my urologist said in testicle itself this cyst will arise.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Epididymal cysts are exactly as named: cysts that arise from the epididymis that contain either clear fluid or fluid mixed with sperm (aka spermatocele). Epididymal cysts and spermatoceles are indistinguishable on physical exam or ultrasound imaging and primarily is just a matter of semantics. They are quite common and benign. Testicular cysts can also occur but much less common.
