Yes it is possible: A shadow is a non specific finding on a mammogram and could represent movement. a fold in the skin of the breast, dense breast tissue, or potentially a more serious mass, so a repeat mammogram or perhaps an ultrasound may be done to help identify the suspicious area. Besides being uncomfortable, it would be natural to feel somewhat anxious, but try to think positive until follow up. Good luck.
