A member asked:

Can a pituitary tumor on the posterior lobe cause "hypergonadism" depending on its location?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Any tumor in the pituitary can cause decreased function of pituitary hormones due to pressure atrophy of hormone producing cells. Tumors of the posterior pituitary are less common than tumors of anterior pituitary.
