A member asked:

I had a vein in arm collapse when giving blood. does this cause effects/health issues? how can i help it heal? will it increase in stroke risk?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

RELAX!!!: "Collapse" of vein means the needle was not ideally placed by the tech. This can happen any time, less often with more skilled phlebotomist. IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NO BEARING ON HEALTH OR DISEASE!
