A member asked:

Do they use iv dyes when conducting a ct scan to check for inflamed gall bladder? how do these dyes make you feel? hot? nauseous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: If your complaint is abdominal pain the study is typically done with both oral and injected intravenous contrast. With the injectin you can feel a little funny - some describe it as hot / flushed / tingling / nauseated. Symptoms are generally mild and resolve quickly.
