Possible.: You need an exam and x-ray in dentist office to find out. May need root canal treatment. See a dentist.

"Sore": Sorry, need more details than that to make a judgement. Can be an abscess, or an pathos ulcer, or a traumatized area, or any one of dozens of other possibilities. If it's an pathos ulcer it will go away in a couple of weeks. If an abscess, it will need IMMEDIATE attention. Call your Dentist to have area examined.
