My baby is 11 months old. he had tonsillitis about two weeks ago and the doctor gave aspelone and antibiotics to clear up the infection. everything went well and then 9 days ago my baby started coughing at night to the point where it sounds like vom?

Likely unrelated: This sequence suggests unrelated issues but the management/treatment is odd by USA standards. Unless the doc confirmed a strep infection antibiotics are not needed for tonsillitis & we rarely give steroids to infants. They can suppress the immune system. The cough may or may not be part of the initial infection. Night coughing suggests post-nasal drainage or bedroom airborne irritants.
