Menses irregular: This can occasionally happen without there being an easily explainable reason. Brown discharge usually signifies old blood being expelled from the uterus, and the cramps with it may suggest that all the lining of the uterus was not expelled during your period. Pelvic pain is a complex issue with many different possibilities. An examination by an Obgyn is warranted.
