Lipoma: Lipomas are quite common and in some patients may run in families. They are of the usually no medical concern unless they are pressing on structures such as blood vessels or nerves. in some patients they may be of cosmetic concern and therefore may warrant removal. I would recommend a plastic surgeon or dermatologist so as to minimize the risks of any scarring.
