I started using altosec yesterday. i am experiencing chest pains since earlier today. i read that chest pains might be a side effect. should i be concerned?

Altosec: This is a ppi medication used to treat gerd,gastritis and peptic ulcers. I'm not familiar with chest pains being a potential side effect, but gerd and esophageal disorders can cause chest discomfort. I recommend getting promptly checked for cardiac or lung causes now in the hospital emergency room and then referral to a gastroenterologist can be made if no cardiac or pulmonary issues are found
