Confusing post: You can approach ear infections like in the 19th century when the only treatment was ignoring them or cutting the drum open to drain. Hearing loss was an occasional result among other complications. Judicious use of antibiotics in true bacterial infections is standard care & shortens the illness by weeks. We don't offer to treat ear infections from this site anyway. You need to talk with your doc
