Dear doc, my baby girl is one month old and she has sever sores in the bum. every time i try to wipe her she cringed and scream and even when she poo.

Diaper Rash: Allow the diaper area to air out between diaper changes. Airflow itself can help dry the diaper area. Use wipes as little as possible as they can be irritating. Avoid soaps as they can be drying/irritating. Sometimes barrier creams containing zinc can help with diaper rashes as well. Recommend being seen in person to determine if something stronger such as anti-fungal is needed.
