A member asked:

Biking out on a sunny day, it didn't rain recently. a drop of liquid fell from a tree. unknown source. i'm worried if it could be a rabid bat saliva?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doubt it: Some trees weep fluid from their leaf canopy. In my area Crape Myrtle is a common offender & people avoid parking under the trees in the supper to avoid the stains. I would think the chance that what you encountered was rabid spit to be less than being struck with lightening.
