See your doctor: Many things can cause fluid retention, although benadryl would not cause that. It also depends on where the fluid retention is. Is it in your abdomen? Legs? everywhere? It's hard to say what it is from without knowing where the fluid retention is. I would advise you see a doctor for a full evaluation.

Multiple causes: Could be heart, kidney, liver, etc. you need a thorough work up by a doctor who gets a full history, thorough physical examination, laboratory exam and possible x-rays. Then a diagnosis can be proffered and a treatment plan devised. Before you see your doctor try to gather whatever things have been done to you already and bring them with you to your appointment. You can make a concierge apt w/ me.
