Yes: Percocet is a member of the drug class known as opioids. Opioids may cause itching as a side effect of taking the medication. Antihistamines, such as Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can be taken with the Percocet to treat the itching. As a caution, Benadryl (diphenhydramine) causes drowsiness and non-drowsy antihistamines such as cetirizine or loratadine can be used as well.
