Many possibilities..: New rashes can be from many causes, such as: allergic reactions to various things, fungal skin infections, viral or bacterial infections, hives, medication causes, heat rashes, reactions to creams or lotions, internal problems (such as kidney disease, auto-immune disease), etc... Sometimes, hydrocortisone cream for a week is useful. A doctor's visual or in-person exam can help diagnose the rash.
