Possibly: It depends on the risks. 90% of rabies cases will present within 1 yr of exposure, so if it has been 3 yrs, most likely you are fine. However in RARE cases the incubation period has been 7 or more yrs! Empiric treatment for rabies should be guided by LOCAL PUBLIC HEALTH recommendations, taking into account whether viral shedding periods are known for the species, and the local epidemiology.
