A member asked:

I had three echoes, two of them showed pulmonary htn 41 mmhg, and one with mildly dilated left atrium, and the third 36 mmhg, la 3.9cm. what to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pulmonary hpt: This is mild pulmonary hypertension with slight left atrial enlargement. The next step is to look for causes of pulmonary hypertension such as lung disease, heart valve disorders, pulmonary emboli or determine whether it's idiopathic(not due to any other pathology). I recommend consultation with a cardiologist or pulmonologist who has a special interest in pulmonary hypertension-causes and treatme
