Probably, yes: Before considering IUD removal, make sure that it is in the correct intra-uterine cavity and has not migrated into the vagina or perforated the uterus into the bladder by checking the vaginal string or seeing a GYN MD. Either of these improper locations can cause recurrent ITI;s and vaginal infections.
