That exceeding norm : Any amount of vitamin d supplementation that causes your vitamin d level to exceed optimal is too high. Know your numbers. Have your vitamin d level checked. 30-100 is normal. Vitamin d and calcium are neccessay for strong bones. In excess, calcium increases your risk for a cardiovasular or heart event, and vitamin d excess can cause fractures.
