A member asked:

Stress test: : ejection fraction of 52% . there is some mild hypokinesis in the infero-septal region. no reversible ischemia. what does this mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hypokinesis: Hypokinesis could indicate an area of old heart muscle damage or scar but the study showed no significant blockage of your coronary arteries which cause any problem at this time. Your ejection fraction is slightly reduced which may also indicate some old damage. Does your resting EKG show old scar? The cardiologist can best advise you of your findings, current cardiac status and proper care.
