I'm on plavix and have been having quite a bit of bright red rectal bleeding following bowel movements. it was so much at one point i though it was menstrual cycle. increased bruises. do i see a gi doctor or the doctor who prescribed the plavix?

Bleeding after bowel movement, I had to strain to pass my stool. Bright red on toilet paper. Slight scratch sensation, no pain. Dr didnt feel lumps in rectal exam. No obvious haemorrhoids. QFIT test negative and bloods didnt show anaemia. Cancer?
