A member asked:

Ive been breaking out in bumps that look like mosquito bites, they're not bug bites. is it possible i am having a allergic reaction to something? it

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually mean allergy: Bug-bite-like spots can be from causes such as: bug bites (of course), hives, viral infections, medication causes, hot-tub rashes, heat rashes, reactions to lotions, allergic reactions to various things (including foods), internal disorders (such as kidney disease, auto-immune disease), etc... Hives are usually due to allergy. Doctor can examine a rash that persists or is worrisome in appearance.
