Painful Swallowing: You have Odynophagia meaning painful swallowing. Possible etiology includes Iatrogenic esophageal ulceration, tonsillitis,Strep Throat, Esophagitis severe are some of the possible etiology Physical eXamination may yeild the Dx. Endoscopy may be needed for dx. of candida esophagitis, NSAID induced ulcers in mouth ,throat and esophagus . Trial of PPI while the dx is being made.will be helpfulhelp
