A member asked:

Is this the right place to ask abouty baby condition? he's just 10month old and he's very hot with phlegm in his throat. is this a sign of teething?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: This is the place to ask general questions, although without examination we cannot provide a diagnosis. Teething may increase saliva flow, but not thick phlegm. Teething does not cause child to be "very hot." Important that you keep baby hydrated, and call your Pediatrician for an appointment. Once very 1st tooth erupts your child should have 1st Dental Examination. Don't put that exam off.
