A member asked:

What are the chances of two negative at home oraquick test taken at 15 and 17 weeks after exsposure turning positive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: How do you FEEL? At this point, OraQuick will pick up about 90% of HIV infections. Repeating the test isn't the key -- some folks don't get the antibodies in the saliva. If you had a very risky exposure, or you're simply very anxious, or you think you had the acute HIV illness, go to your personal physician and get one of the more pricey definitive tests. Otherwise, assume you're okay.
