I have a severe cough and i need to get something for it to help me get better, i can't even do daily tasks.

Cough: See your Physician to determine the cause of your cough so that the most effective treatment can be administered.

Find the cause: Causes of cough include some that are quite subtle -- asthma can cough instead of wheeze, mitral valve disease, Wegener's, being on angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, an aspirated foreign body, and a few dozen others. You're young, so lung cancer is unlikely but there's plenty of TB out there. Your physician can help. Best wishes.
