Depends: Sounds like a benign fatty tumor called a lipoma. A ball of fat tissue. They form in odd places in the body. No particular reasons for their formation. The only treatment is surgical removal. If it gets larger see a general surgeon or start with a local provider who can refer you to someone in your hometown to take it out. Might also be a carbuncle, scar tissue, epidermal cyst.
