What could be causing a sharp needle like pain in one spot on the outside of mid-thigh skin is slightly warm. it's been going on for over 12 hrs.

Nothing serious!: Something like this is not to be worried about. Just ignore it and it will go away. If it persists or gets worse take a couple of tylenols (acetaminophen) and it should go away.
