Eustachian tube pbm: When you swallow, a natural effect includes a muscle movement that straightens the tube connecting your middle ear to the back of the throat. This can permit air entry into a partially closed tube, which changes the pressure across your eardrum. The process is benign but may indicate you retain middle ear fluid. This can suppress hearing or lead to an infection. Your doc can confirm/exclude it.
