UTI: If you have a urinary tract infection, the only way to treat that is to use antibiotics. Lack of estrogen in the vulvo-vaginal tissues in post-menopausal women can make them more prone to UTIs. So, it is a good idea to use topical estrogen, but if it is a true UTI you should probably also take an antibiotic.
