Upper abdomen: Do you know if you're intolerant of lactose or gluten? If not you may have gastritis(inflamed stomach lining). To reduce gas buildup take simethicone or mylanta after meals. Drinking hot water helps break down gas. Avoid gassy foods and try taking medication like prilosec or pepcid to treat possible gastritis. See your MD or a gastroenterologist if not improved.
