How long does the post op pain from a l5/s1 fusion hardware removal last. i'm 4 days s/p and still in quite a bit of pain and needing pain meds.

Expect to have pain: Depending on how much manipulations it took to remove the hardware, the trauma of the hardware removal procedure itself causes pain and 4 days is hardly any time for one's body to recover from.
