Have tinnitus & wear earplugs for loud events. getting worse. could sound still affect it even with plugs? poor sleep also seems to aggravate.

Tinnitus: Unfortunately chronic tinnitus emanates from the inner ear or from the brain itself. Ear plugs may block sounds that originate external to the ear but will not lessen your chronic tinnitus. An Otolaryngologist or neurologist can advise you further on treatment options.
