Threatened abortion: Bleeding in early pregnancy is called a "threatened abortion" - it means that you may be having a miscarriage, but not necessarily. Sometimes bleeding happens in normal pregnancies, too. The best thing is to see your OB and probably have an exam and an ultrasound.
