Take A Look: Testicle pain should be taken seriously. The age of the patient has an impact on the possible causes. The most serious would be an infection or a torsion (twisting) of the testicle. Torsion can kill a testicle and is a true emergency. Viral infections, sexually transmitted infections, varicose veins (varicocele), and others are possible. Seeing a doctor promptly is needed due to testicle pain.
