A member asked:

I suffer of afib since one month ago almost every day. i am taking amirodone, xarelto and enepril. my question is that my attacks begin when i wake up.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

AM a fib: In the early morning hours strokes, heart attacks and blood pressure surges are more common due to release of adrenalin. This can also increase heart rate and atrial irritability which,in your case, may lead to a fib. Perhaps taking a beta blocker like metoprolol at bed time may reduce the early morning release of adrenalin. Your cardiologist is best qualified to advise you on this matter.
