Probably safe: Probably safe, but it would be unusual to take metronidazole and nitrofurantoin at the same time. (Macrobid and nitrofurantoin are the same thing.) But you can check yourself. Google "drug interactions" to find many websites to search for interactions between any combination of drugs.
