A member asked:

About two months ago i began taking nortiptyline for migraine control. it has worked well for me, but i have noticed that my resting pulse rate has gone from the mid 50's (i am a distance runner) to the mid 70's. should i be concerned about this?

Probably not: Tachycardia is one of the common side effects from nortriptyline. Since a PR at 70 is considered average, you need not be concerned over it unless it impacts your exercise tolerance or leads to unusually high HR with exertion (adjusted for your age)
