I just got out of the er with breathing issues. it ruled out to anxiety. the put ativan into my arm but gave me clonazapam 0.5mg. could i take one now?

Wait several hours: It depends on how much and when you received Ativan. If you are going to take Clonazepam 0.5 mg one tablet for anxiety, I would wait at least 6 hours after you received the Ativan if you are still experiencing anxiety. The Ativan IV is meant to take effect rapidly. Clonazepam has a slower onset of action and lasts a longer time in your system.
