My dad has had diarrhea for 3 weeks. 2-5 times a day he also says his stomach hurts sometimes he has gerd could this be a sign its getting worst?

See your doctor: Things that come to mind are inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, bacterial enteritis, colitis, diverticulitis, clostridium difficile. A thorough history and physical followed by appropriate testing should get to the bottom of it within about 1 week. If severe, go to the ER.
