CIN I: ?'s: "CIN" stands for "cervical intranuclear neoplasia" and it is a way of assessing the degree of abnormal cells found on a pap smear. The "I' does not imply any more than mild abnormalities and does not suggest more than a small number of cells which do not appear "normal". Human papilloma virus (HPV) can be the cause. This should be followed on an annual basis, as it can progress.
